Statement

This is the personal site of Louis Weitzman. My career has included the professions of both design and computation and I am deeply interested in the possibilities of creating and supporting excellence in design for the individual through computational means. The name des1gn was choosen, in part, because it signifies for me the convergence of design and personalization, design for the individual.

Life Sciences Workbench

For Harvard-MIT Martinos Center, MGH and Complex Biosystems Modeling Laboratory

The Life Science Workbench was a collaboration between IBM, Harvard-MIT Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, Massachusetts General Hospital and the Complex Biosystems Modeling Laboratory (CBML). The concept was to enable collaborative work between Biologists, Computer Scientists and Physicists to generate predictive models of brain tumor growth. more »
